Development & Hosting Technology
Scope: Provide Technology Infrastructure to Science/Technology Department of the Town of Waterbury an access controllable staging structure to hierichially arrange files and folders.
Overview: To make the greatest number of files downloadable while at the same time easy to update and maintainable. Our technology is all web-browser based requiring no special software and accessible from any point on the Internet with a standard web browser as are available on a PC or MAC.
Description: Teachers and educators with proper login and password credentials will be able to access and download files. Creating and issuing this security is built into the technology platform and has been made easy for the administrator to set and update user security.
Limitations: The quantity of folders and sub folders is unlimited. The quantity of specific users with access rights is also unlimited. Server hard disk space itself becomes the limiting factor. However this is modified-server software and proprietary technology. As such it must be hosted from our data facility where we can monitor it's health and do nightly backups to an off-site building. Upload and download of data files is unlimited however we reserve the right to re-negotiate pricing based on bandwidth activity.
Our proposal contains two cost sections, a one time and a recurring fee charge.
Setup: $1,000 - The technology as described above, set and running and accessible on the Internet.
Recurring: $1,200 This is the "hosting" charge for one year pre-paid and includes 40 GB of server-side disk space with more available.

Intention We use our technology daily to perform our mission critical tasks and feel that this is a good project to demonstrate what our hosted system can do for the Town of Waterbury. We are always eager and available to answer questions and provide instruction on use of our technology via email. All data is hosted and backed up locally. Server access is granted for colocated clients.
At this time the set includes our standard design but at any point in this process we or our associates at Savoy Media (www.savoymedia.com) can be contacted to provide an engaging design that can be overlaid over the existing site structure. Website Designs run $2,500 on up to $5,000 and upward depending on the level of sophistication desired.
